On Wednesday, October 12 all 10th and 11th grade students in the Issaquah School District are invited to take the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test). Gibson Ek’s 10th and 11th grade students will begin the exam at 8:00 AM on campus. We expect students to finish testing by noon.

The cost of the exam is $18.00, and this fee will be visible in students' online accounts the week of September 19.

Financial assistance is available for students. Please contact Cathy Grizzel at grizzelc@issaquah.wednet.edu for more information.

If you would like to opt out your 10th or 11th grade student , please contact Tonja Reischl at reischlt@issaquah.wednet.edu

The PSAT is practice for the SAT. Students can use their results for personalized study through Khan Academy. Additionally, the College Board uses eleventh grade students' scores to determine National Merit Scholar eligibility.

More information about the PSAT and the National Merit Scholarship is available at collegeboard.org/psat. Students will receive information and study materials in their grade level teams.

Grade level advisors have planned learning activities for ninth grade students on Oct 12. Seniors are invited to get support with project work, internship project planning, transcript completion and/or college applications.
