Promoting “SAFER Choices” Student Assembly - November 7

general announcement

At Gibson Ek High School, we are committed to cultivating a culture of respect – one where every student feels seen, heard and safe. As part of the commitment, and through the generosity of the Issaquah Schools Foundation, we’re pleased to bring back speaker and author Mike Domitrz for his nationally acclaimed “SAFER Choices” student assembly on November 7th.

This high-impact session engages 9th-grade students in real-life conversations around boundaries, consent, healthy relationships, and supporting survivors. Mike delivers an honest, age-appropriate message that empowers students to make respectful choices – for themselves and others.

We’re excited to bring this transformational experience to our students – and we’re grateful for your partnership in building a safer, more respectful school culture.

If you have concerns about your student attending this program, please email Tonja Reischl (reischlt@issaquah.wednet.edu) to discuss your concerns and options.
