Host an Intern

As a member of the Gibson Ek community, please consider hosting a teen intern at your workplace. It does “take a village” to place 200 students in internships each fall! Internships are a 4-hour time span of your choice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

You can use this form to be added to our database of potential workplace mentors – or even virtually support a project that aligns to your work if you are WFH. 

And don’t worry: The student and advisor would meet with you before you commit, and they can help develop tasks and/or a project so that the student can work somewhat independently during the hours they are in your space.

Quick note that the earliest possible internship start date for 201s-401s is Sept. 9; for 101s it’s Oct. 14. Students will have access to the new database on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
